H&M Advice

Hello, hello again my beautiful lovely people.

Today’s article is purely tips on hair & make-up (H&M) artists from my experience in the industry.

In my opinion it’s very important to get your H&M done professionally on your day as we all know it’s your most important day!

You should be quite fussy picking a H&M artist as there are so many out there all quite similar and effective in their own style and creativity.  I would definitely research at least 3 in and around your area as it all depends on what your looking for and your personality for it to work.

You need to make sure you meet them before as this will help in deciding which one you prefer.  A huge must is that you need to like them which will result to you been relaxed on the day as you don’t want mood swings and to be uncomfortable.  This is common if you have heard so many amazing views on them (like they did Madonna’s hair), but absolutely hate the artists and as they have huge popularity you want to keep them (this won’t help on the day).

Once you have felt assured in your artists then I hugely advise a H&M trial and this will be a huge decider on if you want them to create the work on the day and if you like it.  If you like the artist, but not the style then you have to do as many re-trials as possible till you get exactly what you want.  Again, once you have found the right style then you will be relaxed on your day (which is what you want)

TIP: A REAL GOOD H&M ARTIST ARE THE ONES THAT SEE YOU, SEE A PHOTO OF YOUR DRESS, SEE YOUR THEME AND ARE HONEST ABOUT HOW YOU SHOULD LOOK.

Please just don’t pick an H&M artist because you know them or someone close to you knows them (unless your happy with them that is).  The reason I say this is you don’t want to be pressured into doing anything that you don’t want.  At the end of the day it’s YOUR WEDDING!  Also if it’s someone you know they are going to feel pressured also because they don’t want to upset you and won’t be as honest as someone you don’t know will be towards you.  Please remember this advice.

  • Make sure you meet your artists,
  • Make sure your happy with both artists,
  • Make sure you tell them your theme, colours etc.
  • Make sure you tell them how many people will need there H&M doing on the day?
  • Make sure you take someone else (Maid of Honour) with you for a second opinion on everything,
  • Make sure you have a trial with both,
  • Make sure you feel comfortable around them (you will know this when their doing the trials)
  • Make sure they for-feel your every need!

BUT MOST OF ALL MAKE SURE YOU’RE HAPPY!!!!!!!

Hope this has come of some use to you and if you have any more questions relating to this or any other article for that matter, I’m your man.
